Panelist at SphinxConnect’s annual convening, contributing to a conversation with organizational leaders about confronting discomfort head-on as a catalyst for personal and professional development. Discussion centered on stepping outside of comfort zones, embracing challenges, and building resilience.

From Management to Leadership: Making the Shift  •  Arizona State University — Learning Design Community  •  2024

Delivered a customized leadership development workshop for ASU’s Instructional Design community, exploring the transition from operational management to strategic, purpose-driven leadership. Participants engaged in structured reflection and developed concrete strategies for applying leadership principles in their work with faculty and peers.

Glass Cliffs No More: Black Women Amplifying Leadership Self-Efficacy Through an Arts-Based Sister Circle Model  •  Arizona State University — Doctoral Dissertation Defense  •  2024

Completed and successfully defended an Ed.D. dissertation introducing an original research framework for supporting the leadership self-efficacy of Black women in organizational contexts. The Arts-Based Sister Circle Model draws on somatic practice, creative expression, and community-based research methods, and directly informs Five/6teen’s consulting and coaching practice.

Navigating the Glass Cliff: Building Equitable Leadership in Education  •  Evanston Skokie School District 65 — Equity Day  •  2024

Facilitated workshops for District 65 teachers and staff focused on equitable leadership transitions, the role of mentoring in sustaining institutional equity, and practical approaches to EDIA work within educational organizations. Conversations explored how equity frameworks shape the lived experiences of women and members of the global majority in educational leadership.

Internalized White Supremacy in Marginalized Communities — Panel  •  Arts Administrators of Color Network Annual Convening  •  2023

Invited panelist at a national arts administration convening, contributing to a candid, research-grounded discussion on how proximity to power and internalized white supremacy operate within communities of color — and what healing, truth-telling, and organizational transformation can look like in response.
